Challenge:

Exploring new revenue streams in urban mobility and assessing opportunities by potential and market value

For a Fortune 500 company, we mapped potential new revenue sources in a pre-venture building exercise.

Our opportunity exploration cycle began with mapping micro and macro trends both in target markets and globally, followed by interviews with experts across various relevant fields.

Next, we conducted a series of interviews with early adopters of emerging behaviors (extreme users) and made contextual observations at relevant businesses. After analyzing the data, we prepared two workshops—one to refine the identified opportunities and another to prioritize them based on different criteria.

With the key opportunities prioritized and refined, we collaborated with an economist to assess the value and growth potential of each, adding an additional prioritization criterion. We then developed business plans based on our fieldwork insights.

This project became a reference for the company’s global innovation department.
