Mapping the main global trends in healthy eating and identifying those with the greatest potential for the local market.
This was our first proprietary study, launched in 2011. We explored five corners of the globe with our Trend Scouts, covering some of the world’s most influential cities—from Amsterdam to Tokyo. We complemented this with secondary data and input from local experts to filter out the trends with the highest potential for Brazil. We got a lot right, identifying many directions long before they became mainstream and pivotal in today’s successful food products and businesses, such as the rising importance of protein (and its addition in various categories), clean labels, and the boom in artisanal bakeries.
